Now, what's with Myrtle? And why is she being featured here?

Because Myrtle and Young JV have so many things in common. First, they are both from Iloilo. Second, they exude contagious passion for their craft. Next, they share the same craft - singing... and more. But, I want to let you guys know that (for those who are not yet updated), Young JV and Myrtle will collaborate and have a project together! @_@

YOUNG JV: FUN WEEKEND

It's recreation time. Everybody should have a dedicated time for family and friends. All work and no play makes life very dull. We need to recharge ourselves by establishing or reinforcing our bonds with our inner circle or those who are closest to our hearts. They make us realize things. They give comments and suggestions or even reactions (good or bad) in whatever we are currently engaged into. With the kind of activities below, surely we are being guided properly, if not, at least somebody looks after somebody's back.

Besides, growth is essential to human. Physically, emotionally, intellectually, financially, socially, and spiritually and many more other "-allies". Family and friends greatly contribute to whoever we are at the moment.

No wonder why Young JV is so talented, he keeps on trying and doing what he loves... all with the support of his core. 

Younglings, like Young JV, find time for your parents and friends ^_^, but don't forget spreading the word.

The music video is about finding true love and being thankful for the experience it has brought to the seeker. Being taken cared of and cherished are only a few factors that makes a relationship last long. Full responsibility of our actions no matter what the end result should be observed, and thus being thankful for whatever is waiting along the way is one of the way how a mature person should do. Nevertheless, it made us grow in one way or another.


Remember that whenever a person is in a relationship, they are expected to give their trust and love, not only to their partners, but to themselves as well.

A surprise dinner party, yes, another surprise party for Young JV. These only proves that Young JV is loved by many. On the pictures are his family and friends, some celebrities and previous classmates in high school. His cousins are also there aside from a few former Philippine All Stars member, choreographer, DJ, and Star Records bosses. Altogether, they celebrate Young JV's birthday. (I envy him for having numerous celebrations, hehehehe). Everyone had a great night for sure.

Another Blessed Sunday, but instead of the usual routine (pray, church, family bonding, etc.), there is another thing that made this day special. Younglings made a scrapbook for Young JV as their gift for his birthday. They greeted him in person. Did some picture taking. Enjoyed the bonding with their fellow youth and Idol, Young JV.

Young JV didn't expected that it would be such a surprise for him when one of his supporters and followers gave him a phone call. Take note, it was all the way from Visayas.

YOUNG JV: NIGHT WITH STARS

A courtesy call from the office of the Mayor of Balasan, Iloilo.

PBI (Progressive Bank, Inc.) Microfinance Department is the culprit. They are the ones who's responsible for the appearance of Young JV in their event. Well, that means they possess a great eye in who they should invite. Hehehehe.

Joe Vargas performed first, followed by Akiko, and Young JV being the last. Young JV also did a tee-up for Alex Anderson and Jhalil on stage. Anyways, pictures are worth a thousand words.

YOUNG JV: CHARITY WORKS!

The purpose of this basketball game is to raise funds and will benefit the Philippine soldiers' dependents, inspired by his father being a soldier once. 


Young JV invited his celebrity friends as a treat for his upcoming birthday. Joe Vargas (PBB ex-teen housemate), Alex Anderson (TV5 Artista Academy), DJ BiggBeats (Sarah G. Live), Charles Mammi (UE Red Warriors), and Jhalil - they represented the celebrity team alongside with Young JV.

The opponent, Pototan's best (Pototan, Iloilo). Their rivals are composed of select players of various age brackets.


They sweat their way to win the game, but due to time restraints, appointments and schedules (we all know how busy Young JV is), Young JV's team needed to leave the game early.


Before the game, Young JV went in a university (WEST VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY-POTOTAN CAMPUS) for a meet and greet event. His supporters waited for Young JV's arrival and gave him a surprise birthday cake.

Let me give you another sneak preview of what's cooking'. Yesterday, an overview of the 2nd album was offered to the public. This time around, new sets of songs and still ALL ORIGINAL. 


Currently, he's doing his photoshoot for his "DOIN' IT BIG" 2nd album. His first album was a great success, i believe this is also a big hit. There are different looks and themes for the said photoshoot, i.e. close-up, serious look, revealing, and more...

The main event, A Night with Stars (featuring Iloilo's Pride Young JV with special guests PBB Teen Clash Ex-Housemates: Shey Bustamanate, Joe Vargas and Kazel Kinouchi) and Awarding Ceremony will be at Balasan Gym, Balasan, Iloilo on the 21st of July, 2012 at 6:00PM.

Progressive Bank Inc. will be celebrating its 10th year Anniversary with the theme AniberSAYA: Isa ka Dekada nga Pag-Ugyon kagPag-Uswag (A Decade of Unity and Progress).  One of the activities will be a Charity Basketball Tournament.

Basketball for a Cause with Young JV will be held at Pototan Astrodome on the 20th of July 2012 at 6:00PM, this will benefit our soldiers' dependents.

Every time Young JV performs, he is never alone. He offers his performances to glorify God. He prays first before anything else. Young JV puts everything in God's hands. His family is what he considers his driving force. He's thankful for having them as his family. His supporters fuels him whenever the floor is his.

But another person greatly contributes in any of his performances - DJ BiggBeats. DJ BiggBeats is Sarah G Live's smash up DJ, a celebrity DJ, a music producer, and a club emcee.

DJ Biggbeats is also Young JV's official DJ. They have been working for the past 10 years. Young JV and DJ BiggBeats are long time friends. They know each other so well, they are accustomed to each others temperament. They work side by side. They know how to get the crowd excited and alive.

Aside from being cooperative, another Young JV's trait we can be proud of - A REAL FRIEND INDEED.

YOUNG JV: MY ROOTS

"I was born and raised as a soldier's son, moved by my father's war stories when he was a combat pilot in Mindanao and when he took part in the EDSA One people power revolution that brought back our democratic institutions after years of martial rule. These stories of conflict not only made my father stand tall but brought me closer to the sad situation of our Muslim brothers in Mindanao and countless women and children war victims. The learning about the pains of war stirred in me a real yearning and a true calling to be an artist-soldier fighting for peace and love in our troubled world of today." - Young JV

From the extremes of war, he managed to compose songs and get inspirations from such events. Young JV treasures and values respect. Neither cultural differences nor religion had been an issue for him. He explores life and have tweaks of his own, like his fellow youths - but with a cause. Only few had developed the ability to see hope and positivity amidst calamities and perilous events...

Young JV's roots and foundations are from the outskirts of Iloilo. He is raised with utmost love and care by his parents. He serves his countrymen like his father through his craft, thus emanates from his personality and is felt through his compositions and masterpieces.

See how sweet he is with his mom. What a sight. Aaaaaaw... Mrs. Kapunan is a very lucky mom for having Young JV as her son... Girls, look for a guy who can treat his mother well and surely he can treat you right, like Young JV.

Young JV serenades the Reyna Elena, Maimai Pelaez - the Younglings President. Together with Young JV is his friend Joe Vargas, PBB Ex-Teen Housemate (PBB Teen Class 2010).

Both gentlemen sang their hearts out for the Reyna Elena. Joe sang first , followed by Young JV, then collaborated on the third number.

Young JV sure knows how to give thanks to his supporters and followers. Despite of his busy schedule, he still manages to give time to those who look up to him. He's more than an average showbiz icon. Talent coupled with gratitude will help him to go beyond his wildest imaginations...

Keep "COOLIN!" Young JV. For sure, Younglings know what I just said. ^_^

YOUNG JV: MUSIC IS WHERE MY HEART IS

"My songs of peace and love are also inspired by stories of the people who work hard and succeed even if the have nothing to start with. Really, nothing is impossible if you put your heart into it. So I say, don't lose hope, just keep on goin'. To the youth of today: let us all work for peace, love and unity in our country and the world." - Young JV

This is where his music are inspired from... A simple guy who values peace and love... Wishes that someday, his music would bring unity amongst the youth of today... Having his music infused with his own inclinations and inspirations, all done by him, all original and for the OPM industry to prosper as well.

He thinks out of the box and do win-win solutions... i.e. he performs and enjoys it and shares his craft to the public. If all people would follow their hearts' desire in giving service to others, really nothing is impossible. If all people ought to understand and believe in Young JV, am very much sure that this world would be a better place to live in.
